Pretty intense on the nose with plenty of tarry, mineral earth notes all layered over nicely spicy black plum and black berry fruit. Air brings out hints of bit of graphite and violets. Soft on entry, there is plenty of attractive fruit here, in fact this is quite fruity but at the same time nicely tense with fine powdery tannins, and nice cut that leads to a finish that is quite dry and firm with some peppery spice. 89pts
