Rating: 85/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. Fairly fruity on first sniff and suggesting peaches and apples beneath its lightly yeasty veneer, this explosively frothy effort follows suit in the mouth with half-candied fruit far in advance of any complexing yeast. Its bubbles dissipate a little bit too fast, and a distracting streak of bitterness comes on at the end.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Rating: 86/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. Subtle cherry-like fruit teams with a touch of burnt toast in the nose here, but there is less of the expected Rosé richness and weight delivered in the mouth. While the wine is well-bubbled and shows ample autolysis, it sputters and dries out a bit at the finish with traces of last-minute bitterness leaving it wanting a step or two more for full one-star recommendation.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.
