Schafer-Frohlich Riesling Trocken 2015

Winemaker's Notes:

90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): For the first time in several vintages the Estate Trocken bottling includes some Riesling grapes from younger vines in the Felseneck vineyard. This is a very high class basic Trocken, as it offers up a precise and classy nose of apple, wild yeasts, complex, slatey minerality and a topnote of lemongrass. On the palate the wine is pure, fullish, crisp and filigreed, with a good core, fine focus and bounce, again, a seamless integration of snappy acids and lovely minerality on the long and focused finish. This will be a terrific bargain. 2016-2035+. (Mar/Apr 2016)
