Fruity, full-flavor with a hint of strawberry and apple. This is a great rosé. 89/100
Dry red with a pronounced tobacco/smoke flavor. Some red fruit, firm tannins and good acidity. Not my favorite, but might pair nicely with smoky meats or other rich dishes.

The 2007 Châteauneuf du Pape Les Origines (50% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, and 20% Syrah aged in small new oak barrels) is somewhat of an anomaly with such an amount of new oak, but it never seems to show given the wine’s concentration and richness. This may be the estate’s finest example of this cuvée, which generally represents 1,200–1,500 cases, all from their holdings in the northern sector of the appellation. A saturated purple color is accompanied by aromas of smoke, camphor, créme de cassis, licorice, and blueberries, amazing concentration, a full-bodied texture, and a stunningly long finish. The tannins are present, but silky, and the vintage’s freshness and vibrant fruit are evident. Powerful and loaded with substance, but at the same time endearingly elegant and ethereal, it will benefit from another 2–3 years of bottle age, and should drink well for 15+.

Ein vollmundiger, trinkreifer, für einen Nero d'Avola kräftigen, aber doch harmonischen, fast schon aristokratischen Roter.
Deep ruby. Black raspberry, smoky herbs and Asian spices on the nose. Suave and fine-grained, with deep flavors of raspberry, blackberry and tangy minerals. A step up in extract and power from the regular bottling, with more depth and intensity to its red and dark fruit flavors. Gains a floral quality on the back half, finishing sweet, broad and minerally, with dusty tannins and an echo of candied flowers.
Solid, with a mix of red and black currant fruit held together with notes of pastis, licorice and violet. A good dash of grip on the finish keeps this honest. Opens nicely in the glass. Drink now through 2019.
This Brunello opens with inky dark concentration and ripe aromas of prune plum and blackberry. It s packed tight with savory spices such as ground clove and cardamom and it also offers a full load of ripe (but not jammy) black fruit. It feels thick and textured on the palate with tannins that will soften with 5-10 more years of bottle aging. There s a touch of cherry sweetness on the close. Wine Enthusiast.
