Sauvignon Bianco Villa Drago Fratelli Rovero 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes: A lively fresh intense fruity aroma with pineapple, citrus and the grassy character of Sauvignon. On the palate the wine is fresh and lively, well balanced , with good body and persistence. Try with typical piedmontese "antipasti", grilled shrimps, smoked chicken, pasta with "meat ragu' " sauce and with different kinds of cheeses. Percentage Grape: 100% Sauvignon Blanc Soil: Medium structure, calcareous soils Growing Climate: ORGANICALLY GROWN grapes, no herbicides, chemical fertilizers and other chemical products, certified ICEA This Sauvignon Blanc combines a selection of grapes from two vineyards with different exposure: one faces south-west and the other faces north-east, giving this wine a complex character. Vinification Method: The grapes are carefully selected and crushed. 50% of the grapes remains with the skins for a period of 4 hours at 10°C, extracting the finest, most complex aromas from the fruit and the other 50% is directly pressed. The well clarified juice is fermented at 16-18°C in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation it remains with its lees in tanks for 9 months.100% of this wine was made without Malolactic fermentation. Bottling takes place in June. Alcohol Percentage: 14 % Sugar Rate: 0-5 g/l
