Sautereau Sancerre White 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

This family estate is now being run by David Sautereau, the son of the current owner. He is producing modern, attractive wines that offer excellent value for money. The Sancerre has a pure, fruity style, with good depth on the palate as a result of three months lees ageing. There is a touch of minerality which combines nicely with the aromatic gooseberry character on the nose. Good length, clean and fresh on the finish, the wine finishes dry and crisp.

Delicious, perfect balance; clean and pure - freshly washed linens hanging on the the clothesline, swaying gently above the grass on a bright sunny day; summer afternoons, centre court of Wimbledon
