One of the winery's main distinctive feature is its location on the hillside of a plateau, allowing for a natural blend with natural landscape. This location is reflected in the winery's vertical design, with 5 levels that rise to a total height of 22 meters, allowing for another characteristic of the building: the use of gravity in the winemaking process due to the resulting slope. This gravitational system, employed in the transportation of the raw material (the grape) and the end product (the wine), grants Familia Schroeder's vinification process with an important comparative advantage, offering optimal conditions for handling of these products with minimum usage of pumps. The high final quality is a result of both this modern technology and the committed work of the winery's staff. Read less

Four glasses

This particular wine is aged for 12 months in new French and American oak barrels, then bottled unfiltered. Malbec is a black grape variety closely associated with the wines of Argentine and Cahors. This wine is an intense, dark purplish red with a hint of blackberry and cassis fruit.
