External Reviews for Saumaize-Michelin Pouilly-Fuissé Vigne Blanche
From the most southern part of Burgundy, where the Chardonnay is richer and fleshier, with a full body more akin to California wines than to other white Burgundies such as those from around Beaune or Chablis. Impeccably balanced with a purity of fruit flavors mdash; juicy apples, pears and lemon citrus. Everything in the right place.
Green-gold. Spicy citrus and pear scents are complicated by anise and dusty minerals. Crisp and energetic, with light-bodied orange and Anjou pear flavors, gentle minerality and a broad, long finish. Gained weight with air while maintaining energy. Offers impressive balance.
