Sartarelli Verdicchio Verdicchio Dei Castelli di Jesi Classico 2008
Of an intense straw yellow colour with greenish nuances. Its fine elegant smell with notes of white fruits and citrus-fruits develops into a subtle mineral aroma.It has a rich alcohol zing and flavour but with its well balanced acidity it becomes soft on the palate. Charming with sushi and raw fish, elaborated fish or white meat dishes, such as fish soup, baked or grilled fish, rabbit or chicken in potacchio (typical local dish). It goes wonderfully with mushrooms, truffles, tagliatelle with truffles and medium mature cheeses.
The nose was fresh with spring flowers, morning dew, ripe melon and pear. On the palate it had a medium body with a luxurious oily like texture, with flavors of honey dew melon and apple. The finish was mouth coating yet still perfectly refreshing.
