Not a strong nose but a hint of tropical fruits. Smooth medium body and mouth feel with pineapple and mineral blended well with balanced acidity. An oak background; fleeting yet pleasant finish.

Slightly acidic nose, mineral. Velvety light mouth feel with a kick at the end. Biting acidity that grows throughout the tasting. Hints of citrus and pear that opens over time. Smooth after taste.

A clear expression of two indigenous varieties of Santorini island: The Assirtiko variety, intense, earthy, expressing the volcanic island soil, balanced with the more quince-like, aromatic Athiri variety. Vines are trained in basket shapes to protect from the intense wind. It is believed that Athiri is the father to the Ribolla Gialla grape seen most in Italy.

The new gold standard for Greek white wine. A melange of citrus, fig, guava and an almost saline minerality. Incredibly delicious and just perfect with seafood.

Winemaker's Notes:

Powerful, intense and earthy, Assyrtiko is the characteristic expression of the volcanic soil of Santorini, and the more aromatic and tempered Athiri, with a name that shows its links to its place of origin (Thira-Santorini). Their marriage is a unique blend where the aromatic character of the Athiri (at a proportion of 25%) is the perfect counterpoise for the earthy, mineral notes of the Assyrtiko (at a proportion of 75%).
