Santi Amarone Della Valpolicella 2005
This wine had a nice full body, solid structure, long finish but not a lot of tannins. This makes for a wine that is very powerful yet easy to drink. Plenty of flavor to go along with it.Add winemaker's notes

3.25 stars Appearance: deep ruby core Nose: medium+ intensity with aromas of Christmas cake, warm spices Palate: medium+ fine-grained tannins, flavors of Christmas cake, Marischino cherry, medium+ length but the tannins where a distraction on the finish of the wine otherwise I would have scored it higher. The wine should improve with some more bottle aging.
My least-favorite Ripasso, all the punch and fullness of it's brethren without any of the interesting flavor. Too expensive for a daily drinker, too boring for a special bottle.
