Santepietre Bardolino Classico 2003

Member Review by Mimi Kim:

This wine has great color in that it is deep garnet with a a brick colored rim. Ripe black berries, earthy, woodsy, dried ginseng and chinese Rhizoma roots make up a aromatic nose. Similar flavors on the palate with medium tannins and a bittersweet aftertaste and medium finish with little acidity.

Lamberti:
The winery is named after the family of the same name, who have lived in Lake Garda in Italy’s Veneto for centuries. Their name can be found on the Medlieval tower in Verona’s Piazza delle Erbe. This is one of Italy’s most traditional regions, and this winery is known for creating modern takes on those classic wines. Their wines are made with a focus on innovation, while staying true to their heritage and cultural past.
