Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Pretty much on the money, with verve, sass and class. Plenty of black fruit, coffee , earth and leather on the nose. followed by red plum, cassis and vanilla-infused tobacco on the palate. Nice and tasty, with fine richness and a good mouthfeel.

Elegant and polished, this refreshing cabernet reflects the coolness of the vintage and of the high Andes. Its raspberry and cassis flavors, molded by tense acidity and firm tannins, should age well, or make a good match for venison.

Powerful, with lots of smoke, cedar, loam, black currant and blackberry fruit flavors. Thick, burly tannins will need to resolve a bit, but this is a fine display of Maipo Cabernet. Drink now through 2007.
