A wine of style and grace. Spicy and generous, with blackberry, plum, vanilla and currant flavors, and aromas that are round and silky on the finish. Vinification occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 7 to 21 days on the skins. The wine is aged in 225-liter Nevers oak casks, one-third of which are new each year. The casks are made by Demptos of Bordeaux, which lends black currants, walnuts, and toast; by Seguin-Moreau of Cognac, which gives oak, vanillin, truffle, and chocolate; and by Luddonaise of Bordeaux, for finesse and elegance
