Santa Rita was founded in 1880, by a distinguished entrepreneur of those times, Mr. Domingo Fernández Concha in the area of Alto Jahuel where the main installations of the winery are currently located. From the very beginning, he introduced fine French varieties, winemakers and the most advanced winemaking techniques. From the end of the XIX century until the mid 70´s, Santa Rita developed under the ownership of Mr. Vicente García - Huidobro, father of the famous Chilean poet Vicente Huidobro Fernández. In 1980, the Grupo Claro acquired the Santa Rita property, giving a strong impulse to the enterprise in all of its scope, introducing great technological improvements and wine elaboration techniques unknown in Chile at that time. At the end of the 80´s a great expansion period for Santa Rita starts, sustained by the great momentum experienced by its exports and the excellent reputation acquired by its products, which obtained important awards and worldwide recognition. Ok. Decent for cooking, but not really an amazing drink.

Pale yellow. Musky aromas of pink grapefruit, lime zest, herbs and dried flowers. Juicy citrus and orchard fruit flavors are complicated by tarragon and mint notes, gaining sweetness on the back end. Finishes with good breadth, a touch of heat and echoes of lime and honeysuckle.

A clean, basic red wine that's focused on standard berry and cherry aromas and flavors. Fresh but simple, with limited raspberry and cherry flavors along with a touch of vanilla. Competent but entirely regular.

Reflective of a good vintage for Sauvignon Blanc, this simple but delicious wine features pretty flower blossom and citrus aromas backed by fresh apple, orange and lime flavors. It's clean, crisp and balanced across the palate. Perfect for drinking upon purchase.

Pale straw. Zesty lime and grapefruit aromas are straightforward and pure. Clean and brisk on the palate, with racy citrus and pear flavors and good mineral snap. The brisk finish offers modest persistence. This is an excellent value in refreshing sauvignon blanc.

Medium straw. Varietally accurate citrus, melon and herbal aromas are precise and energetic. Green apple and lemon dominate on the palate, with fleshier melon and peach emerging on the back half.

The medium straw-colored 2007 Sauvignon Blanc "120" exhibits an attractive bouquet of spring flowers, citrus, and lemon-lime followed by a crisp, refreshing wine with a clean finish. Should be consumed over the next 1-2 years. They are both excellent values.

The light berry scents of this gentle Cabernet bring violets and foresty moss to mind. A touch of gruff warmth in the tannins will bond well with grilled meats.
