Tasting notes This dry white wine is pale straw-yellow in color. The clean, intense aroma and dry flavour with pleasant golden apple aftertaste make Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio a wine of great character and versatility. Culinary suggestions Excellent as an aperitif, ideal accompaniment to seafood salads and fish- and shellfish-based pasta and rice courses. Perfect with white meats and boiled or grilled fish and with soufflés. Serving temperature 10°-12° C. (50°-54° F)

Pleasant, subtle nose. Very fruity and smooth start. Continues onto the mid-palette. Almost has a slight effervescent quality to it. Very smooth finish. Tannins are weak and only present themselves in the back of the throat at the end. Lingers in the mouth for just the right amount of time. Looking now for the cheapest case price, because this is not really a cheap one. (in my area - around $24/bottle) Yes, although it is a good Pinot Grigio, I think there are plenty of equal quality wines out there that you could find for $5-7 less.
A very well known and rather expensive pinot grigio. Nice peach notes, very flavorful. Rich warming finish - touch of spice. A good example of the grape.

A formerly great wine now a victim of excessive demand resulting in a lesser quality modest wine worth avoiding. When wineries do this many of us call this bastardizing the label/brand integrity.
