Santa Margherita was the first company to vinify the pinkish Pinot Grigio grapes as white wine. The must is not left on the skins to avoid its acquiring their rust-red color. After soft-pressing the must is left to ferment 15-20 days at 18°-20°C. The wine is then stored at 15°-16°C. in special stainless-steel tanks until bottling.
Tasting notes
This dry white wine is pale straw-yellow in color. The clean, intense aroma and dry flavour with pleasant golden apple aftertaste make Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio a wine of great character and versatility.

- July 2007
- Very crisp, clean and light. Refreshing body with a buttery palate and tangy finish.
- December 2007
- Probably should go without saying it's not nearly as pleasant as the '03 - probably still a bit young. But nice and buttery overall, a little sweet on the aftertaste. Always a nice.
- July 2007
- Crisp nose, acidic attack. Some floral notes - peaches and nectarines. Nice spicy finish. Not bad - was a bit hungover, so dont quote me on this.
