Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

The color is an intense ruby red with faintly garnet tones. The initial aromatic sensations are sweetish and vanilla-like, typical of wines matured in barriques. The clean, ethereal bouquet then highlights Sangiovese's spicy notes. On the palate we again find very wellintegrated oak which, however, soon gives way to hints of wild berry fruit preserve and to that nuance of spices we perceived on the nose. - Winery

Winemaker's Notes:

Santa Margherita Chianti Classico Riserva offers an exemplary representation of the traditional, distinctive Sangiovese grape: elegant with tannic austerity and complex aromas. With a deep, ruby-red hue, this wine has initial fruits and spices that shift gradually into forest fruits and herbal notes. This is an elegant wine that reflects fully the characteristics of its terroir. This wine pairs wonderfully with braised meats or savory sauces.
