Santa Julia Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Member Review by Tom Wandeloski:

A 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, Argentina. Deep ruby color with mid-rim to thight variation. Dark fruits hints of cherry and plum with a hint of tobacco & pepper. It has a long finish on the palette and balanced acidity. This wine will mature over time (peak time 2016-2019). Best served chilled to 66 degrees, and served with mid-rare beef dish.

Bodega Santa Julia:
Santa Julia is a label offshoot of Familia Zuccardi wines from Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is named after Julia Zuccardi, daughter of chief winemaker José Alberto Zuccardi. The wines are organic (although not certified under US law) and handmade, with close attention to detail. This is an affordable range of dry and sparkling wines as well as a late harvest Torontes/Viognier blend called simply “Tardio.”
