Santa Julia Organica Torrontes 2011

Member Review by aronowm2:

Soft and subtle like a Viognier. I can't express how smooth this is. Great with chicken.

Bodega Santa Julia:
Santa Julia is a label offshoot of Familia Zuccardi wines from Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is named after Julia Zuccardi, daughter of chief winemaker José Alberto Zuccardi. The wines are organic (although not certified under US law) and handmade, with close attention to detail. This is an affordable range of dry and sparkling wines as well as a late harvest Torontes/Viognier blend called simply “Tardio.”

Almost clear. Big aromas of flowers & perfume. Hints of melon & honeysuckle. (Twinge of sulfur?) Melon attack developing into rose. Good acidity. Lingering finish.
