Santa Julia Organica Malbec 2012

Member Review by Diego Andrés Díaz:

This is a pale violet wine, balanced, with moderated tannins, and a hint of earth in the mouth. Unfortunately, it has a very short aftertaste.

Bodega Santa Julia:
Santa Julia is a label offshoot of Familia Zuccardi wines from Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is named after Julia Zuccardi, daughter of chief winemaker José Alberto Zuccardi. The wines are organic (although not certified under US law) and handmade, with close attention to detail. This is an affordable range of dry and sparkling wines as well as a late harvest Torontes/Viognier blend called simply “Tardio.”

Ripe fruit flavors of plum, cherry, and strawberries with hints of chocolate and a spicy finish.
