Santa Julia Organica Chardonnay 2012

Member Review by Kristin Watts:

A very nice, clean nose with hints of under ripe stone fruit and a floral bouquet that lingers on the palette. Lovely sipping/aperitif wine that can also stand up to food.

Bodega Santa Julia:
Santa Julia is a label offshoot of Familia Zuccardi wines from Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is named after Julia Zuccardi, daughter of chief winemaker José Alberto Zuccardi. The wines are organic (although not certified under US law) and handmade, with close attention to detail. This is an affordable range of dry and sparkling wines as well as a late harvest Torontes/Viognier blend called simply “Tardio.”

A lovely chardonnay that emphasizes pineapple and grapefruit flavors with a lingering finish.
