Santa Ema Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2005
Winemaker's Notes:
Color : Deep Red. Aroma : Complex and pleasant where mature red fruit notes coffe and toast stand out which in a bottle give an exceptional bouquet. Flavors: Tannins of good concentration which give roundness and structure which is complemented with a pleasant fruit taste at the end.

Add your reviewBig, dark, and smooth... I love this wine! Tried it for the first time yesterday and returned for a case. I aerated using the Vinturi and the edges smoothed right out. The wine is like silk in your mouth after the aeration, full-bodied, nice dark fruit - blackberry - with a bit of espresso. YUM!
A guilty pleasure at this price. Thick and furry on the tongue with black fruit in the middle. Closer to rhubarb pie than cherry pie.
I purchase this one fairly regularly from Costco! One of my favorites and I like the Merlot as well. They also have a Carmenere which I have not been able to find here but I did have during a business trip to Chile.
We have come to like keeping a supply of Santa Ema Cabernet Sauvignon around the house. I think we are getting the 2007 now, not the 2005. It benefits from sitting out in the air or running it through the Vinturi, I think. A wine you can live with.
