Tangy, citrusy body, with a touch of anise and a nice soft finish. Dark black/purple color. Would go well with tomato dishes since it would match the fruitiness and acidity.
Ruby red color with purple hues. Intense fresh fruit aromas with pleasant floral hints. Well-structured, generous, soft and harmonious. Sweet tannin and lingering fruit in the finish.
It takes me back to Italia... a good wine and a great value.
A favorite of mine and a very great tasting, a bit refreshing actually, when chilled just so.
This is an amazing wine as soon as you open it! Almost no tannin. The boquet is very pleasing. It is one of those rare less expensive wines where the palate and the nose agree. It has a velvety texture and an amazing dark color. Its big, bold, and beautiful. And when you add the price of 20 USD, it cant be beat for an affordable Super Tuscan or any dry red wine for that matter. One of my favorites and I hardly ever drink a wine under 50 USDs.

Aromas of fresh raspberry and flowers follow through to a medium-bodied palate, with an easygoing texture and a clean finish. Drink now.
Lovely Sangiovese-based red (with a splash of Merlot blended in) from the heart of Tuscany. Light- to medium-bodied, with bright red fruit, silky tannins and fresh acidity. Perfect for pizza, burgers and light pasta dishes.
An easy-drinking red, with cherry, citrus and fresh herb character. Medium body. Clean, tight finish. This never lets you down for the buck. Drink now.
Crisp, focused and lean, but with a nice band of raspberry, anise and vanilla aromas and flavors. A Tuscan red; technically not a Chianti, but similar in style. Drink now to 1996. 90 percent Sangiovese and 10 percent Canaiolo.
Crisp and fruity, with plenty of dried cherry character throughout. Light- to medium-bodied, with light tannins and a refreshing finish. Delicious now.
A clean and fruity red, with ripe blackberry and citrus character. Lots of fresh fruit on the palate. A good Santa Cristina this year.
This beauty came on the scene back in 1946 as a Chianti Classico. However, in 1984, with the DOCG laws coming into the picture and Chianti requiring a longer oak aging period, Antinori decided to keep his ldquo;Chianti, rdquo; blend it with Merlot and begin a new path. Santa Cristina is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot. On the nose you will find a very intense jammy bouquet of cranberries, strawberries and plums. In the mouth the fruit is lively and fresh with great acidity, spice and balanced tannins. A great wine for drinking with friends or enjoying with a nice weekend picnic!
