A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 2010 Tablas Creek Cote de Tablas 750ml
Fruity aromas of peaches and ripe apples dominate the nose of this wine. On the palate it offers a balanced flavour, lively and enjoyable thanks to the pleasant acidity. Serve with starters, finger foods, antipastos, fish-based dishes, seafood and chicken.
The 2010 Cotes de Tablas is a bit more accessible than some of the single-variety wines because of its medium-bodied structure. Dark red cherries, flowers and tobacco float through to the medium-bodied, refined finish, where a dash of Counoise adds lift. The 2010 is 46% Grenache, 39% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 5% Counoise. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.
The "classic" Santa Cristina, first produced in 1946, now finds its true home, sixty years later, in the Santa Cristina cellars in the township of Cortona in the heart of Tuscany. With the 2009 vintage the line has been completed by the addition of a Santa Cristina Bianco and a Santa Cristina Rosato. The care and commitment shown first in the vineyards and then in the cellars have made Santa Cristina a reference point name for experts, and for a host of others as well.
