Sandhi Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

This wine is built around 3 important vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills; Bentrock, Wenzlau, and Rinconada. Here, Pinot Noir vines struggle in ancient, silica-based soils that produce lively aromatics and exuberantly-fruited wines. 2014 was characterized by a warm spring. This gave us an early, sun-filled growing season with plenty of potential for generous and enjoyable Pinot Noir. The wine brims with fresh red fruits of wild strawberries and pomegranate. The palate shows the same fruits with good length and a lively texture. Barrel aged 14 months in neutral French oak. 2,287 cases produced. Alcohol 13.0%.
