Sandeman Porto 30 Year Old Tawny 1975

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Enthusiast Review Rated 91 EDITORS CHOICE Sandeman's aged tawnys have a definite dryness, the wood an important part of the wine. While they are dry, the weight of rich, dried fruit flavors gives a good balance. Acidity mingles with the fruit, enriching the burnt character, giving a wine that is intensely rich rather than sweet. Wine Tasting Notes Old gold amber colors with the intense aromas of honey and spices, underscored with deep flavours of dried apricots, hazelnuts and vanilla, creating a rich yet elegant combination.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Clear red amber colours with a light intense body, open up to aromas of vanilla and evolved dried fruits. The elegantharmony and fresh flavour of red fruits unfold in the mouth and combine with the complexity of wood ageing anda good finish.
