Sancerre Clos de Beaujeu Boulay 92 Jg 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2009 Clos de Beaujeu from Monsieur Boulay is a lovely bottle. The nose offers up a vibrant and very minerally interpretation of the 2009 vintage, as it soars from the glass in a superb blend of lime, grapefruit, a touch of orange, fresh-cut grass, complex minerality and a fine topnote of lime blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, fullbodied, fresh and complex, with good ripeness harnessed by lovely, framing acids and excellent length and grip on the complex and wide open finish. A lovely bottle of Sancerre, the 2009 Boulay Clos de Beaujeu will probably not be particularly long-lasting by the high standards of this domaine, but will offer up beautiful drinking during its peak of maturity. 2010-2015...92+" JG 1/11.
