Northern Monterey County has the ideal growing climate for Chardonnay. Daily sun exposure ripens the grapes while cold Pacific winds extend the growing season for an extra two months. This allows Chardonnay time to develop the tropical fruit and lush textures for which Monterey Chardonnay is known.
