Food Pairings for San Pedro 'Castillo de Molina' Sauvignon Blanc Elqui Valley Chile
This is a fantastic wine for under $15. The grapes are grown in Chile's Elqui valley, which is one of the most northern limits of production in Chile. The slight minerality on the nose gives way to a wine of rich depth. The battonage process on this wine gives it a slighty yeasty character but it is mostly covered up by the refreshing acidity and green notes or jalepeno and bell pepper. Don't let those word turn you off, this is a wonderfully delicious wine and is perfect for the summer. At under $15 a bottle you'd be missing out if you didn't pick up a bottle.
