San Jacopo da Vicchiomaggio Chianti Classico 2015

Winemaker's Notes:

The use of only historic grape varieties and maturation in large oak barrels, ensure that all the characteristics of a youthful, robust Sangiovese are free to developed. Deep ruby red with purple reflexes. Hints of ripe cherry lead onto crisp berry flavours, velvety tannins carry onto a long satisfying finisch on the palate. San Jacopo Chianti Classico is a wine ready to be enjoyed when released.

This has a soft floral demeanor with pleasant red fruit aromatics and a mineral freshness to it. Refreshing acidity and cherry fruit lead the way on the palate with earthy structure, chocolate and plum skin on the finish. 89 pts

A great value in Chianti Classico. Flavors of herbs and cherries are intertwined with the soft tannins. Serve this wine with spaghetti and meatballs.

This Chianti Classico is made from 90% Sangiovese with 5% each of Canaiolo and Colorino. It is aged for about six months in large oak casks, and the result is a full-bodied, fruit-forward wine that has plenty of flavor. It has a deep purplish hue and strong aromas of ripe, dark cherry and toasty vanilla with a good dose of spice and herbs.

This lovely Chianti Classico shows an ample bouquet of berries and violets. Nicely structured, with hints of ripe cherry and spice. Easy to drink with smooth tannins, a touch of oak and a lengthy finish. It is a perfect example of the elegance, aromas and character of its unique terrior. Serve with eggplant parmigiano or stuffed portabello mushrooms.

So hervorragend wie das Weingut, sind dessen Weine. Die Dominanz der Sangiovese-Traube verleiht dem Wein einen kräftigen, vollmundigen Charakter mit leichten Röstaromen.
