- Chad Melville sources the fruit for this wine from his family's Verna's Vineyard in the cool climate, Cat Canyon, with plenty of influence from the ocean. Blended with 5% Malvasia Bianca, the wine has an exotic sweet note on the palate. The fermentation uses 15% whole clusters. The winery has sold out but has given Vinfolio a small allocation. Violet and cassis aromas with some smoky bacon. The flavors are blueberry compote, plum and hints of mint. The wine is beautifully focused.
