Saltram Shiraz Mamre Brook(2002)

Following fermentation in tradaditional style fermenters, this wine was matured for 18 months in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels. This is a Shiraz of great depth, displaying intense aromas of black currents, plums and liquorice coupled with spice and vanilla oak chracters. On the palate, the wine offers generous and rich characters of fleshy dark berry fruit and fine softly textured tannins. This wine will continue to improve with cellering over the next 5 to 8 years.
