The grapes of this spritzy Grüner Veltliner come from high-altitude terraces in Stein and Krems. Grown on loess-conglomerate soils this dry wine has a lovely bouquet of fine citrus and fresh herbs. Jancis Robinson about Hochterrassen: Probably the best value of the 'everyday' Grüners is Salomon Undhof Hochterrassen Grüner Veltliner'. Not yet reviewed; 2008 vintage rated 89 points by International Wine Cellar: Pale green-yellow. Subtle aromas of Golden Delicious apple, blossom honey and white pepper. Crisp and racy in the mouth, with flavors of apple, grapefruit and wet stream pebbles carrying through to the finish of this pleasant, nicely balanced summer wine.
