User Reviews for Salneval Albarino
Add your reviewI am usually am pretty picky about whites and rather have a red. This is my first Albariño and it might just be my new white champion! It smells of apricot and pear with a floral touch. Crisp and full bodied, it reminds me of marshmallow, fruit candy that is not too sugary. Has hints of pineapple and a touch of vanilla. It is smooth and has a drying end with a lingering taste. Great wine with a little buttery which surprises me! I made Szechuan steamed chicken with salted mustard stem, ginger, tomatoes. Steamed for an hour until all the juices filled up the bowl and had it over rice. Hmmmm. I got overly excited and finished my plate before taking any photos of it. Oh well, here are some of the choppings. Although I cannot say I enjoyed the pairing very much. I had a sip of the wine with the chicken and never touched it again. It was not bad but it was not good either. I ended up saving the rest for later. Nonetheless, this was a still Double Yum! One of two bottles of Albarino consumed at a dinner party with Jim and Becky. My new fav white.
A little sparkly. Flowery taste that is pretty weak. Might be better if it was very chilled.
Pale yellow color. Aromas of tropical fruit, grapefruit, green apple. The flavors are citrus, green apple, with mineral notes. A touch of acidity. This Albariño is not one of the most refined that I’ve tasted, but it does work well with spicy food. Modest price and modest wine.
Very light colored. Light to medium body. Floral aromas on the nose with citrus and tropical fruit notes. Finish is crisp but fleeting.

Light straw in color, the nose of this Albarino is seductive with honey, pear and tropical fruit and a slight mineral component. It is racy and zesty with citrus and floral flavors in the mouth, yet is round and soft at the same time. It matches perfectly with fresh seafood and shellfish; is an ideal accompaniment to salty, spicy Asian cuisine; and is also great on its own as a cocktail wine.
This is a bright and aromatic wine with flavors of pineapple, lychee and minerals. On the palate it’s very fresh and fruity, with good acidity and a long finish. It has a creamy texture without being overly heavy. Pair this wine with Arroz con Pollo.

Light gold. Aromas and flavors of pear, tangerine and ginger, with a white pepper accent. Fleshy but dry, with good finishing breadth and a touch of closing heat.
Yellow-gold. Ripe pear and white peach aromas are sharpened by citrus zest and minerals. Vivid orchard and citrus fruit flavors are fresh and juicy, but the wine displays an essentially gentle texture. Finishes impressively long and precise, repeating the citrus note and picking up a dusty minerality. Delicious stuff.
This crisp white offers pear, green almond and herbal flavors that are focused, even a bit austere. A good wine for oysters. Drink now.
Light gold. Spicy pear and floral honey on the nose. Open-knit orchard fruit flavors are a tad hard-edged, picking up a dry citrus pith note with air. Finishes with good juicy persistence and a hint of white pepper. Just a touch pinched for me.
