Salmon Creek Chardonnay 2010

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

This really does smell pretty, with piercing lime notes, coconut cream and wood spice, and vanilla all coming together. Fairly light bodied when one considers what the nose sets you up for. There’s some obvious oak here and the wine has some soft edges, but the acidity is nicely perky and supports nice lime and apple flavors. The finish shows good length and the acid really helps extend the fruit, matching the toast stride for stride. Nicely done. 88pts
