Salento is in the "heel" of Italy, in the southeastern region of Apulia. This hearty red comes from estate-grown Negroamaro grapes. It is dark in color with lots of dark fruit - blueberries and black cherries - and a floral note on the finish. There's touch of an earthy, garrigue-like character on the finish as well.
