This is my new favorite wine!! Soft, smooth, silky tannins. Great sipper. Jammy, chewy, nice mouth feel. Great nose as well as great mouth feel and flavors. Will buy more!

Bright red. Fresh strawberry and red cherry aromas are lifted by a mineral nuance. Juicy and fresh, with lively red berry and stony notes on the pure, vibrant palate. Finishes bright and long. This very well-made wine probably lacks the complexity for an outstanding score, but it’s such a delicious wine that I’ll be generous. Makes a great pizza and pasta wine, but it can also handle more complex fare.
A big, boisterous wine, the 2011 Rosso Piceno bursts from the glass with exotic red fruit, savory herbs, spices and earthiness. This hearty, flavorful Sangiovese/Montepulciano blend is best enjoyed over the next 2–3 years, while the wine retains its exuberance. The 2011 is a fabulous, drop-dead gorgeous wine for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2013–2015.
