A delicious and flavorful wine, with a silky, ripe substance and a structure that's present but blended-in. In this vintage the wine seems to be more refined and delicate, with floral aromas that we're unaccustomed to seeing. A wine that's made to please, perfect for summertime cooking.

The 2006 Rosso Piceno (70% Sangiovese, 30% Montepulciano) is a fresh, perfumed wine with a pretty core of dark fruit and good overall balance. It is an approachable red to drink now and over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
The 2004 Rosso Piceno (30% Montepulciano and 70% Sangiovese) exhibits loads of strawberry and herbaceously-tinged black cherry fruit in its exuberant, robust personality. With wonderful depth, a silky texture, and pleasant herb, earth, and spice characteristics, it should be enjoyed over the next 1-2 years, preferably with grilled poultry and meats.
The estate's 2007 Rosso Piceno is an unqualified success. This soft-textured red caresses the palate with waves of ripe fruit, tobacco and spices. It offers remarkable balance at this level and must surely be one of Italy's finest wines at this price point. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
The 2008 Falerio (Trebbiano, Passerina, Pecorino) offers up fragrant white peaches in a crisp, focused style. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011.
