Winemaker Tasting Notes: Bursting through a color that is deep velvety red, the 2004 contains aromas of cassis, chocolate, cinnamon, and a hint of black pepper. As promised by the classic aromas, the mouth feel is rich, yet elegant, and the intense flavors are supported by luscious oak spice which sends the wine into orbit on the long finish. Technical Notes: Appellation: Sonoma County Varietals: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 5% Malbec, and 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petite Verdot Bottle Date: June 12, 2006 Oak: 20 months in 100% French Oak barrels, 80% new 20% one vintage.
