Grapes were transported to the winery with haste and pressed off immediately to minimise skin contact and juice deterioration. After settling, the juice from each batch was fermented using a variety of selected yeast in 100 per cent stainless steel at cool temperatures to retain fruit flavour and freshness. Each batch was assessed for quality and only the best components were selected for their potential to add to the overall quality and complexity of the final wine. Once blended the resulting wine was then carefully prepared for bottling. Vintage: 2009 Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc Wine Maker: Matt Thomson Aroma: Intense and powerful aromas of blackcurrant, passionfruit, grapefruit and gooseberry leap out of the glass. Palate: A full, crisp and powerful wine showing intense flavours of passionfruit and blackcurrant, with underlying gooseberry tones. This wine has a full yet elegant palate with subtle minerality. Well balanced acidity provides a long, lingering finish. Serve: This wine is an ideal match with antipasto, grilled seasonal vegetables or fresh seafood.
