Saint Clair Pinot Noir 2009
I did not like this at all. It took all the standard traits of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (grapefruit, grass) and basically added red food coloring dye.
Have had numerous :) bottles of this wine during the last 6 months. I really enjoy (as does my wife) the ripe raspberry and blueberry (great Finnish forest berries by the way) character combined with a light/medium body for a very crisp and ripe overall freshness. Exceptional even for a NZ Pinot Noir. This is not a wine for everyone, but we really like it. Works well on its own or like today combined with pike-perch (kuha) and champagne sauce.
