Georges and Franck Dubœuf have made a thorough selection of wines from Burgundy, the Rhône Valley, Bordeaux, the Loire and Languedoc, while giving champagne the prestigious pride of place it deserves. Bruno Vertut and Alain Beaurin, who staff the cellar, deliver specific advice recommending combinations of wine and food, making the most of a customer’s budget or suggesting new discoveries. A neat blend of refinement and relaxation make this a cellar for both ordinary wine-lovers and connoisseurs. Dubœuf, rue Marbeuf, a cellar like every cellar should be, where you quite simply find good bottles at the nicest price, together with the pleasure of getting sound and considerate advice. Georges and Franck Dubœuf have won recognition for their expertise in the art of wine tasting and selection, a perfect illustration of which is their cellar, just off the Champs Élysées. More than anything else, their one wish is to perpetuate, on Rue Marbeuf, one of the capital’s most Parisian shopping streets, a product marked by trade-mark simplicity and excellent value for money. This is where you find the best of the wine range from Georges Dubœuf. Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages rub shoulders with the 10 Beaujolais vintages of Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Régnié and Saint-Amour. Plus the Mâcon appellations of Mâcon, Viré-Clessé, Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint Véran. Whether fruity or flowery, lively or potent, for immediate opening or for long stays in a cellar, they all illustrate to perfection their Beaujolais, Mâcon and Burgundy identity. Read less

Typically pleasant cherry-plum preserve on the nose - though somewhat muted at serving temperature of 12 degrees Celsius. Herbaceous with violets as well. Deep, dark Bing Cherry red in color. Some Pinot-like qualities upon entry with similar brightness and sparkle but less expressive. Good tannin structure ensuring aging potential for this Cru to about 2014. Medium finish. Excellent value from a superb vintage!

First Beaujolais from this Cru. Chilled for about 15 minutes before serving. Light to medium bodied with distinct red berry tasted leading up to a cheery finish that slightly lingered. Very light and easy to drink. Good buy for a Cru Beaujolais in this price range...

This is a beaujolais that even a big burgundy lover can appreciate. It's got great depth, intensity and a meatiness to it that most gamay wines do not. Very nice berry flavors along with just a hint of gamey and earthiness.

Red fruit with cherry flavors predominating. Medium-light body and tannins. A lighter Cru Beaujolais but still a good one. The texture and body of this reminded me a lot of pinot noir from Burgundy. A high 3.5 rating.

One of the lighter Cru Beaujolais. This wine had all of the usual gamay character only with a deeper, more pronounced flavor. More tannic than your average Beaujolais. If you like Beaujolais or Beaujolais Villages and want to get into the Cru Beaujolais, this would be a good place to start.

A great Beaujolais. Surprising stuffing - relatively tannic and acidic. A bit light on the fruit, may be a touch over the hill, but has a beautiful dirty mineral bomb finish.

As a fan of high quality Beaujolais I was thrilled with this. A light colour and a mid weight in the glass belied a really fruity nose of berries and cherries. The palate was concentrated and fruity with hints of autumnal spice. Good fun, fruity and delicious. (SN 11/07)

Frische Aromatik nach Himbeeren und Cassis. Markant, würziger Auftakt. Schöne Textur mit weichem Tannin und langem Fruchtfinale.

St. Amour Domaine Des Sablons George Duboeuf Beaujolais St. Amour may be one of the less well know Cru Beaujolais but it is one of the most charming, delightful and perfumed of all the top Beaujolais. From the incomparable 2005 vintage comes this lovely St. Amour. This is Duboeuf's top wine from the vineyard. It will bring a smile to your face - especially at its gentle price
