This is the best riesling I have consumed to date. It has a great balance to it with a lot of fruit flavor. Not dry like a lot of riesling's instead well balanced sweetness with just the right acidity taste. A great find at Costco for under $20. Just don't tell everyone because it will be gone in a flash when everyone finds out how good a bottle of wine this is.

The Prüm family has roots in Mosel region of Germany that date back as far as 1156, making it one the country’s preeminent winemaking dynasties. The current estate, now a century old and located in Wehlen in the heart of the Mosel, has been under the direction of Raimund Prum since 1971. Under his leadership and the involvement of his daughter Saskia, the property has become one of the region’s most successful wineries, boasting an international reputation for the production of exquisite Rieslings in a range of styles that satisfy and please every palate. Production Area This estate-bottled, single-vineyard Riesling is produced from grapes grown in the famed gray slate soil of the renowned Wehlener Sonnenuhr which has recently been designated an Erste Lage – or top vineyard site by the VDP. The gray slate soils of the Sonnenuhr (sundial) vineyard have a high tin content which lends minerality to the wines. Ancestor Jodocus Prüm erected the famous sundial in 1842, which became a hallmark for the mid-Mosel area. The soil of this famous domain is comprised of Devonian gray slate, and soft slate with a high tin content, which adds a distinctive, fresh minerality to the wines. This is the best vineyard in the Mosel River, with a southerly aspect. The altitude is between 425-1100 feet, with a steep 60% slope. The mountains’ treeline, rising above the vineyards, blocks cold winds from entering the valley. Grape Varieties 100% Riesling Vinification Select grapes are hand-harvested in mid October and, following de-stemming and six hours of skin contact, ferment for nine weeks in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wine is bottled under Stelvin closure. Color Light lemon with green tints Bouquet Fresh green apple and citrus notes Taste Crisp flavors of lemon and peach against a mineral backdrop Alcohol 8% Serving Suggestions Well-matched with salads, seafood and light veal dishes.
Apricot and honey flavors gain depth from stone and lime notes in this slim, precise white. Thereandrsquo;s enough flesh to match the crisp acidity, and this lingers nicely. Drink now through 2020.
Four 2007 kabinetts from the Sonnenuhr vineyard in one flight, and all scored 90 points or better, including this beauty, which features white peaches, honeysuckle and a squirt of lime to go along with pear and vanilla notes. It’s round and lush yet balanced, if somewhat on the rich, sweet side.
This high quality Riesling begins with aromas of Granny Smith apples and white peaches. Underneath all the ripe fruit lies a bed of minerals and acidity. This wine is lush and flavorful, but at the same time crisp and refreshing.
This Riesling is beautiful. Rich and highly extracted, the way that it feels in your mouth is as impressive as its taste. It coats your mouth and fills every inch with its weight and flavor. Seemingly light in acid, it has a long, smooth finish that just seems to go on and on. If you like smooth Rieslings that are very easy to drink, this one is for you.

This feels full and ripe, with floral aromas of stone fruit and tangerine. There's a lovely sense of savory, slatey minerality under the fruitiness, and this should develop more complexity in time.
