This is the best riesling I have consumed to date. It has a great balance to it with a lot of fruit flavor. Not dry like a lot of riesling's instead well balanced sweetness with just the right acidity taste. A great find at Costco for under $20. Just don't tell everyone because it will be gone in a flash when everyone finds out how good a bottle of wine this is.
aromatic combination of gasoline, sweet peaches, and honey. Very complex and interesting on the palate, wonderful concentration of fruit, balance of acidity, and lingering mouthfeel
Nice stone fruit and grapefruit but very little sweetness. Firm acidity. Cool, short, almost minty finish. A very nice wine, but pales in comparison to the 08 Dr. L Loosen I tasted at the same time. Would be happy to drink this again though!
fruity, acidic, yum

Riesling Kabinett Mosel Ürziger Würzgarten 2009 - 90 points, Wine Spectator Online/ Shows complex aromas and flavors of violet, black currant, nectarine and slate, with a saline, savory undercurrent. Though rich, this is light-weight and detailed, with fine length.
The Prüm family has roots in Mosel region of Germany that date back as far as 1156, making it one the country’s preeminent winemaking dynasties. The current estate, now a century old and located in Wehlen in the heart of the Mosel, has been under the direction of Raimund Prum since 1971. Under his leadership, the property has become one of the region’s most successful wineries, boasting an international reputation for the production of exquisite Rieslings in a range of styles that satisfy and please every palate. Production Area The 140-acre Würzgarten (spice garden) vineyard has a unique soil of red slate and “Rotliegendes,” a red soil of volcanic origin. The wines from this vineyard have an exotic, herbal quality with an extraordinary depth of flavor. The site features extremely steep vineyards of old, ungrafted vines. Grape Varieties 100% Riesling Vinification Select grapes are hand-harvested in mid October and, following de-stemming and six hours of skin contact, fermented with native yeasts for 4-5 weeks in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wine is bottled under Stelvin closure. Color Light gold Bouquet Delicate nose of ripe peaches in combination with unique herbal aromatics Taste Extraordinary depth of flavor. Perfectly balanced fruit flavors with distinct minerality Alcohol 7.5% Serving Suggestions Well-matched with salads, seafood and light veal dishes.
Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Kabinett 2006 - 89 Points, Wine Spectator Online/ Rich and lushly textured, with green tea, peach mango and mineral aromas and flavors. Nicely balanced, finishing drier than expected, given the richness up front.
Ürziger Wurzgarten Riesling Kabinett 2009 - 4 stars, Restaurant Wine/ Here’s an excellent range of SA Prum’s wines over recent vintages. The Urziger Kabinett is light bodied, lightly sweet, and finely flavored (apple and lime, with floral, spicy overtones); a wine with good depth and balance, and a persistent finish.
Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Kabinett 2006/ Released in the US a bit later than most German wines, Raimund Prum's 2006 Wurzgarten kabinett remains primary and fresh, filling the room with aromas of green apple, lime and slate. It's medium in body (9% alcohol) and slightly creamy in texture, with an off-dry finish marked by hints of lime zest.
Guia de compras/ 100% Riesling. Grapes come from the "Graacher Himmelreich" vineyard in Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Germany. Fermented in steel and then bottled with natural cork. Brilliant gold in color, with aromas of rose petals and citrus fruits. Full-bodied taste, with flavors of pear, citrua and minerals with a long finish.
Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spatlese 2010 - 5 stars, Restaurant Wine/ The Graacher Himmelreich Spatlese is exceptional: refined in character (lime, green apple, yellow plum, lemon peel, honey-dew melon), light-medium bodied, and very crisp and long on the palate, with a persistent finish.
Color: Pale gold Bouquet: Aromatic, with scents of apricot and peach Taste: Fresh fruit flavors perfectly balanced by a racy acidity and mineral character Serving Suggestions: Enjoy on its own or with a range of light appetizers and seafood dishes
