Ryan Patrick Rock Island Red Wahluke Slope 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

A touch of blueberry preserves with hints of lavendar, dried herbs and an undertone of anise and cocoa powder are pleasing on the nose. A generous entry leads to a jammy mid palate and a pleasurable silky finish.

Complex creamy, vanilla notes on the nose with blackberry and black cherry fruit. More focussed on red fruit in the mouth, with loads of acidity, raspberry and cherry, cream and chocolate, espresso and toast. Towards the finish there is a tannic bite, cocoa and cinnamon, and a long smoky finish. 90 pts
