This wine offsets savory notes with sweet, syrupy fruit and beautiful mint highlights. The peacock-tail finish is the masterstroke here, a flourish that goes on and on. Bright cherry-red with a pale rim.Enticing aromas of cherry, raspberry, spices and earth. Supple and fat but juicy, with sound acids giving shape to the flavors of raspberry, mint and orange peel. Nicely tactile, nervy pinot with good density of material. Finishes slightly tart and oaky.

A beautifully ripened Pinot Noir from a great vintage. Shows plush flavors of cherries, raspberries, pomegranates, blood oranges, cola and peppery spices that are wrapped into a rich, silky mouthfeel. This dry, complex wine is a joy to drink.

Well balanced, with just a hint of barnyard aromas and ripe red fruit on the nose. Soft tannins give way to a labyrinth of flavors. Cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and cola start on the palate and carry into the finish. Very elegant style of California Pinot Noir.

After years of living in the Russian River, Keith Rutz decided to try his hand at winemaking. This Dutton Ranch bottling is made from 100% Dutton Ranch fruit, one of the top Pinot vineyards in California, that is handpicked and hand sorted. Fresh red raspberry flavors, with underlying coffee bean and earth notes.

Wine Tasting NotesRuby red in appearance. Smokey, spicy, black cherry nose. Round dark fruit on the palate, reminiscent of plums and black cherries with underlying layers of allspice and sandalwood. The finish is long and toasty with hints of more dark fruit and caramel.
