User Reviews for Rutini Malbec
Add your reviewIn Argentina, Rutini is among the most prestigious widely available brands, and this wine offers a few hints why. The nose is a mix of orange marmelade and tire rubber; in the mouth, it’s somewhat square but full of characteristic malbec berry-cherry flavor. A little grainy, but a few years of age might sort that out. (AV 87, http://argovino.com/?p=772)
Very drinkable, light wine. A nice choice for dinner that goes with fish, pork or beef.

Dunkles Rubinrot, intensiver Duft von Brombeeren, Zimt, Zedernholz und Gewürzen, saftige Fruchtdichte, konzentriert und elegant.
A dark, chewy style, with thickly layered iron, black currant and smoky toast notes that wind their way to a brawny finish. Plenty of stuffing, but not for fans of the elegant style. Best from 2007 through 2009.
Ripe and juicy, with a solid core of raspberry and boysenberry fruit layered with sweet toast and vanilla notes. Drink now through 2008.
Yet again this relatively affordable wine shows the charms and potential of Argentinean Malbec. It has a beautiful color and full, fruity aromas. The palate runs a bit sappy and upright, with cherry-based fruit that will go great with any type of grilled or braised meat. Clean, ripe and tasty, with the slightest bit of perky acids.
Dense but forward, with layers of raspberry and boysenberry fruit pushed by melted licorice and fruitcake notes on the medium-weight finish. Drink now.
Waxy black fruits, pepper, and dark cherries make up the aromatic profile of the 2003 Malbec La Consulta. A structured, firm white, it has impressive depth, loads of dark fruit flavors, and a rustic, tannin-laden finish. Drink this value over the next 4-5 years.
Dark red. Slightly musky aromas of black fruits, licorice, mint, leather and pepper. Juicy, spicy and on the lean side, with a cool peppery quality to the currant flavor. Comes across as a bit pinched, and less sweet than the merlot, but not hard. This fresh malbec needs to be served with food.
