- This is a great Rhone blend. The Reunion heralds the delightful 'Reunion' of 60% Mourvedre, 20% Shiraz and 20% Grenache. Mourvedre is rarely the dominant variety in these traditional blends, however the 2005 vintage saw the variety develop magnificent colour, tannin ripeness and exceptional concentration in flavor and varietal characters, adding spice and game to the blend. The Shiraz offers lovely berry fruit, pepper and color richness, while the Grenache is the strawberry, candy, vanilla and spicy support variety. Delicious drinking.
