Succulent apple and nectarine flavors show off the unoaked portion of this chardonnay, while barrel-fermented lots add fresh almond notes and a creamy texture. The blend combines in a generous, bright white with finesse, a wine that performs far beyond its price. Serve this with any fresh catch. Best Buy.

The 2009 Chardonnay offers up aromas of nectarines, orange blossoms and white peaches. It is a naked, medium-bodied, fresh, lively Chardonnay to drink over the next 1-2 years. This is another excellent value winery offering low-priced, tantalizing red and whites.

Made in an oaky, creamy style to appeal to popular tastes, this Chardonnay has jammy pineapple flavors. It's brisk in acidity and is somewhat simple, but the price isn't bad.

There are 16,000 cases of this spectacular bargain in Chardonnay. This 2007 from, of all places, Napa Valley, is a beautifully fruited wine (orange blossoms, nectarines, poached pears, and a hint of pineapples) revealing little oak, medium body, zesty freshness, and gorgeously pure fruit. This dry, delicious 100% Chardonnay is best consumed over the next 1-2 years.

Sweet as a dessert, with vanilla, buttercream, brown-sugared pastry crust and pineapple custard flavors. Lots of people like this style, but it's kind of simple.

A terrific bargain in Chardonnay is the 2005 from Rutherford Ranch. Aromas of apple skins, white peaches, pears, and lemon zest emerge from this well-made, fresh white. Consume this beauty over the next 12-18 months.
